|10:30-12:00||Introductory chat by Ashley Mortimer followed by a series of small guided tours|
|12:00-14:00||Lunch at any of the cafes and pubs around Preston Park or explore the Manor|
|14:00-14:45||Talk by Preston Manor’s Paula Wrightson about Preston Manor and how it is connected to Britain’s pagan world|
|15:00-15:45||Talk by Philip Heselton on Doreen Valiente|
|16:00-16:45||Screening of a short film featuring Doreen (TBC)|
Featuring artefacts from Doreen’s collection; Gerald Gardner’s handwritten Book of Shadows and items from Druidry and other pagan paths, this is a small taster of the large exhibition opening later in the year.
For £6.60, be among the first to view the exhibition, attend any of the talks (limited to 30 people each, first come, first served) as well as touring the exquisitely decorated 18th century Preston Manor.
The day following the launch (Sunday april 3rd), author Philip Heselton will be signing copies of his latest book ‘Doreen Valiente: Witch’ at Waterstones in Brighton at 11:30am.
There are plenty of places to stay in and around Brighton, please come and join us for the first of these historical exhibitions.
